Have you ever thought about what cyclists do when they aren't riding? It seems like an odd question, but cyclists have regular jobs too. But every now and then you meet a cyclist who's daily work leads them on a path less traveled. Temple Project is honoured to present a collection of contemplations by Dutch artist Quinda Verheul.
In 2020 Quinda conquered the Atlas Mountain Race, an unsupported bike-packing race across the Moroccan Atlas Mountain range covering more than 1,000+ kilometers and 20,000 meters of elevation. Quinda's journey pushed her body and mind to the limit, at times hallucinating due to the heat and constant physical demand. She rode day and night supported by music and sheer tenacity.
The 3 contemplations presented in this collection were born in the Atlas Mountains where landscape, music, and blurry memories coalesced into one.
