TP-Ride 02 Jakarta, Indonesia

TP-Ride comes home! After a successful event in Manila, Temple’s 2018 TP-Ride series came back to our hometown of Jakarta, Indonesia. We always look forward to these rides because it gives us an opportunity to connect with our friends and customers. This time was no different, but we also organized a flash sale on Saturday and Sunday morning. Besides getting your ride on you could also get your shop on….

The plan was to gather a small group of #templeaddicts for a brisk but easy city ride through central and south Jakarta. 75 people showed up at Jakarta’s defacto cycling ‘tikum’, Cyclo Coffee, so small became large, and the ride decided to throw up a few surprises of its own. Jakarta being Jakarta, you can hope for roads clear of debris, but the reality is with all the construction and various road users you will always encounter something. This time it was something unique, a bucket (ember gue gak bohong) decided to escape from its owner on the Casablanca fly-over and make its new home in the middle of the road. The casualties were light and few, but always remember to pay attention and be aware when riding in Jakarta!

Back at Cyclo the post ride mood was fun and festive with free coffee for our #templeaddicts. The flash sale was busy with riders from all communities taking advantage of the discounts and Temple gear.

It was great to meet so many new faces getting into the cycling scene and rewarding to reconnect with old familiar faces. Thanks to everyone who came out with a special shout out to the Awwsome crew for rocking their new Temple custom kit, and Cyclo Coffee for being great hosts.
